Re-elect Maggie Goodlander
I’m writing to urge support for Rep. Maggie Goodlander in the upcoming primary.
Here’s what’s at stake: New Hampshire’s 2nd District is one of the most competitive in the country โ one we hold by a razor-thin margin. Beyond costing one vote in Congress, losing makes it harder to block the Republican agenda on reproductive rights, Medicaid, and everything else we care about.
What has she actually done? She launched the bipartisan Lowering Costs Caucus to tackle child care and elder care costs. She pushed the Small Business Advocacy and Improvements Act through the House. She’s fighting to bring New Hampshire a full-service VA hospital.
Goodlander is angry about the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, too. She’s used her seat on the House Armed Services Committee to take action, co-sponsoring the resolution calling for urgent humanitarian aid delivery to Gaza and pressing the commander of U.S. Central Command on leveraging military resources to get relief to civilians. She joined over 125 House Democrats in demanding that Secretary Rubio ensure aid reaches Palestinian families. Using your committee seat to confront a four-star general about starving children takes backbone.
Speaking of backbone: Goodlander was one of six members of Congress who appeared in a video reminding service members of their right to refuse illegal orders โ and Donald Trump responded by calling for them to be charged with sedition. She served in the Navy Reserve. She worked on Trump’s first impeachment. She is not playing it safe.
Some Democrats are frustrated that she hasn’t gone further. I understand. But governing means building coalitions to deliver results in a hostile Congress. This primary is about whether we want someone who can fight effectively in the rooms where decisions are made โ and win in November.
Join me. Vote for Maggie Goodlander.
