Cecil B. DeMilleโ€™s original silent epicย โ€œThe Ten Commandmentsโ€ (1923)ย will be screened with live music onย Easter Sunday, April 5, at 2 p.m.ย at theย Town Hall Theatre, 40 Main St., Wilton.

The film will be accompanied by Jeff Rapsis, a New Hampshireโ€“based silent film accompanist who performs at screenings nationwide.

The program is free and open to the public, with a suggested donation of $10 per person to support the theaterโ€™s silent film programming.

DeMilleโ€™s early Biblical spectacle was a major hit in its original release and later inspired his 1956 remake. The film opens with the story of Moses and the Exodus before shifting to a modern-day drama about two brothers who make opposite choices about living by the Ten Commandments.
