Continuing to be corrupt

For the last two years a group of about 20 concerned citizens sought to meet with representatives about the Gaza genocide without success.

We’ve written letters, postcards, emails, organized town halls and visited their offices, imploring them to take a stand against genocide, and to stop taking American-Israel Public Affairs Committee money so that they may be free to represent constituents instead of Israeli interests. We have publicly exposed their taking AIPAC money by protesting on the streets.

The “fruits” of these labors? Senator Hassan has accepted over $3,363,000 in AIPAC funds, up from $640,000 last year. Senator Shaheen has accepted $1,781,000, up from $574,000 last year. Congresswomen Goodlander has accepted $754,000, up from $172,000. And Congressman Pappas has accepted over $2,709,000 up from $811,000 last year.

On March 8, Congressman Pappas made a video for AIPAC proclaiming ongoing loyalty to Israel even as Trump and Netanyahu bomb civilians, hospitals, schools, universities, churches, and cultural centers in their war-mongering rampage that threatens global security.

The Democratic Party is completely out of step with its voters and stated beliefs. US citizens want representatives who represent us, not Israel.

There is a candidate for the Senate who refuses both AIPAC and corporate PAC money and who stands for peace: Karishma Manzur.

In the Sept. 8 primary, let’s send a message to the Democratic leadership that we will not vote for corrupt sell-outs ever again. Vote for Karishma Manzur.
