ConVal High School hosted the All-District Band Concert on Friday evening at ConVal High School. Bands from Southmeadow School, Great Brook School, and ConVal High school each performed separately and with the other bands.

“This concert is very special because it gathers the bands from all of our ConVal schools in grades 5 through 12,” said ConVal Principal Heather McKillop. “The purpose of this concert is to showcase student learning and success in instrumental music from middle school through high school.”

Students from Francestown, Greenfield, Hancock and Peterborough read selections in honor of National Reading Month. Students from the district’s others towns will read at next week’s all-district choir concert.

“Across our district’s elementary schools, there are many wonderful activities taking place to celebrate and inspire a love of reading,” McKillop said.
