Rebecca Brown, founder and director of the New Hampshire Alliance for End-of-Life Options, will present “Medical Aid in Dying: What it Is — and What it is Not” at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at the Hancock Town Library.
Brown will discuss end-of-life options currently available in New Hampshire, explain what medical aid in dying is and is not, and review legislative progress on the issue in the state.
The New Hampshire Alliance for End-of-Life Options is a grassroots effort that seeks to empower people to make informed end-of-life decisions and advocates for medical aid in dying in New Hampshire.
Twelve states and the District of Columbia — including neighboring Maine and Vermont — have passed legislation allowing medical assistance in dying, though New Hampshire has not.
The program is free and open to all.
