Name: Lynessa Huntley

Position sought: Zoning Board

Relevant experience: I have proudly called Temple home for nearly eight years and am seeking to serve the community as a member of the Zoning Board. I currently serve as director of Human Resources for the Milford School District and as Temple’s deputy town treasurer, roles that reflect my commitment to public service and responsible community stewardship. I have assisted my husband in his surveying business, gaining hands-on knowledge of land research, property boundaries, and site planning considerations. I believe this practical background, combined with leadership experience, will allow me to thoughtfully evaluate zoning matters that impact residents and preserve the character of Temple. I hold a bachelor’s degree in management science, an MBA in organizational leadership, and a Master of Education in general education–counseling.

Reason for running: To volunteer time and experience to help ensure that land-use decisions are fair, well-informed, and reflective of Temple’s long-term interests.

MODERATOR

Name: Phil Lauriat

Position sought: Moderator

Relevant experience: I’ve been Temple’s moderator since 2022

Reason for running: Temple has always had the highest voter turnout in the area.  I’m working to keep that tradition going.

Most important issue: Making sure all the voters in Temple can get their voice heard.
