The Peterborough International Affairs Forum will meet Thursday, March 5, at 7 p.m. at the Mariposa Museum, 26 Main St., Peterborough, to discuss the current state of transatlantic relations and their importance in todayโs global power structure.

Karl Kaiser, a dual citizen and Peterborough resident who recently returned from the Munich Security Conference in Germany, will provide an overview to kick off the discussion.
Kaiser spent much of his professional career in Germany as an academic and policy advisor. He served as an advisor to Chancellors Willy Brandt and Helmut Schmidt and was director of the German Council on Foreign Relations. After retiring in Germany in 2003, Kaiser returned to Harvard Universityโs Kennedy School, where he is now an associate of the Belfer Center.

Moderating the discussion will be Dan Grosz of Peterborough and Jay Schechter of Dublin, both members of the PIAF Steering Committee.

PIAF meets regularly on the first Thursday of each month at the Mariposa Museum.
