Name: Katherine Foecking

Position sought:  ConVal School Board representative for Antrim

Relevant Experience: I have dedicated the last 25 years to education as a teacher and administrator. I have served Antrim for the last year as the School Board representative. I am a member of the Policy and Education Subcommittees. 

Why am I running:  I am running to provide collaborative leadership that prioritizes student success, supports our educators, and ensures our schools remain a strong, transparent, and accountable community pillar.

What is my most important issue:  My priority is balancing fiscal prudence with high-quality, inclusive education, ensuring our curriculum drives student growth while fighting for adequate state funding for our district.

FRANCESTOWN

Age: 51

Position Sought:  ConVal School Board representative for Francestown

Relevant Experience: Chair of Francestown School Committee; president of Francestown Elementary School PTO; parent of former and current ConVal students

Why are you running? I’m running to strengthen our schools through responsible budgeting, stable leadership at all levels, and local decision-making that puts students, families and community first.

What is your most important issue? Staff retention drives stability, student success and school culture; without experienced, supported educators, no budget, program or policy can truly improve outcomes for students.

PETERBOROUGH

Name: Elizabeth Ahearn

Age: 49

Position Sought: ConVal School Board representative for Peterborough

Relevant Experience:ย I am a very strong proponent of public education and have closely followed the ConVal School Board for the last three years and more recently have closely followed the education-related developments in the New Hampshire Legislature. I believe that I am well-versed in the issues currently facing the board and public education in New Hampshire. Additionally, I have been active in volunteering at Peterborough Elementary School and currently serve as the PES PTO communications director.

Why are you running? I have the time and ability to serve, and also believe that it is important to have more parent representation on the ConVal School Board.

What is your most important issue? Public education funding in a political climate which seems hostile to public education.

SHARON

Name: James Fredrickson

Age: 75

Position sought: Conval School Board representative for Sharon

Relevant experience: 9+ years on ConVal School Board; chairman of the Budget and Property Committee and Negotiating Committeeย 

Why I am running: To continue to work with an incredible group of people (on the board and on the district staff) on the vitally important education of our countryโ€™s future leaders.

What is your most important issue? Our most important objective is to not just survive but to thrive amid the many  challenges that this school district and others face
