Three students from The Well School earned a second-place finish at the Middle School State Championships Nordic Ski Races in Sandwich on Feb. 17.
Ariya Bastille, Liesl Calcutt and Sylvia McLaughlin competed as a relay team, placing second out of 13 teams from across New Hampshire.
Facing larger schools, the trio delivered a strong performance, highlighting their individual effort and teamwork.
The race also underscored the strength of youth Nordic skiing in the Monadnock region, supported in part by the Dublin XC Ski Club and its Bill Koch League program, which introduces young skiers to the sport. The club welcomes new skiers of all ages and abilities.
