The Park Theatre in Jaffrey will screen the filmed West End production of “Kinky Boots” as part of its ArtsCinema Stage2Screen Series at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 22.
The screening will take place in the 330-seat Eppes Auditorium at The Park Theatre, 19 Main St. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $18 and are available at theparktheatre.org/kinky, by calling 603-532-8888, or at the door on the day of the show.
The filmed performance was captured live at London’s Adelphi Theatre. The musical features music and lyrics by Cyndi Lauper, a book by Harvey Fierstein, and direction and choreography by Jerry Mitchell. Inspired by true events and the 2005 film, the story follows a shoe factory owner and a drag queen who collaborate to create a new line of boots.
