Two drivers were transported to the hospital following a two-car crash on Route 119 in Rindge on Sunday afternoon.

Just after 1:30 p.m., police and fire crews responded to the area of Route 119 at North Street for a report of a two-car crash. According to Rindge Police Chief Rachel Malynowski, the drivers were the only occupants of the vehicles, and both sustained minor injuries.

The crash involved a 2011 Ford Escape, driven by Shannon Hernandez-Hood, 47 of Lunenburg, Mass., and a 2012 Suburu Impreza, driven by a 17-year-old from New Ipswich. 

The crash involved airbag deployment and leaking fluids from the vehicles, both of which were towed from the scene by Gauthier’s Auto Service.
