Isn’t it ironic

For decades, the right has been claiming that the left wants to take guns away from
American citizens. First, they argued that Clinton would take our guns away. Then it was Obama and then Biden. It never happened. The right clamored that the only way to protect ourselves from the evil federal government was to arm ourselves.

First, they pushed for concealed carry laws, then open carry laws, which were eventually passed in many states, including Minnesota. They spouted the nonsense that the more guns that were in the hands of citizens, the safer the people would be. They showed their fears by electing a Republican president and legislature who said they shared those fears. And then on Saturday, Alex Pretti was murdered by half a dozen federal agents. Isnโ€™t it ironic!

Did a radical communist or socialist politician take away Alex Prettiโ€™s gun? Was he safer by carrying a gun for which he was issued a permit to carry in accordance with Minnesotaโ€™s open carry law? The answer is no to both of these questions. In fact, it was President Trumpโ€™s heavily armed masked henchmen under the so-called leadership of Kristi Noem and Gregory Bovino who assassinated him in cold blood. Isnโ€™t it ironic!

It was apparently fine for the right to preach about the Second Amendment as a necessary protection against the perceived leftist government, but now that Republicans are in power, they are doing exactly what they insisted the Democrats would do if they were elected; murdering people for exercising the First and Second Amendment rights to peacefully protest and carry a weapon. Isnโ€™t it ironic!
