The Alice M. Yarnold and Samuel Yarnold Scholarship Trust is accepting applications for its annual Yarnold Scholarship, which provides financial assistance to New Hampshire residents pursuing post-secondary degrees in medicine, nursing or social work.

Created in 1994, the trust has awarded more than $1 million to over 1,000 students since 1995. Individual awards range from $3,000 to $7,500.

Applications are available in early spring, with all materials due by a June deadline. Applicants must submit an application, two letters of reference, a post-secondary transcript, a completed FAFSA and a short essay. Graduating high school seniors are not eligible, but students may apply after completing their first year of post-secondary education in an eligible field.

Approximately 30 to 40 New Hampshire residents receive awards each year. More information is available at yarnoldscholarshiptrust.org or by contactingย yarnoldscholarshiptrust@gmail.com.
