Resist the king

George Washington refused calls to be king after defeating England. Ironic since the United States had just ridded itself of a king. Our current president has pictured himself as king. He is currently destroying many of the achievements made through applying the U.S. Constitution to American life for our 250-year history.

In his final address to the nation George Washington stated: โ€œThis government, the offspring of our own choice, uninfluenced and unawed, adopted upon full investigation and mature deliberation, completely free in its principles, in the distribution of its powers, uniting security with energy, and containing within itself a provision for its own amendment, has a just claim to your confidence and your support. Respect for its authority, compliance with its laws, acquiescence in its measures, are duties enjoined by the fundamental maxims of true liberty.โ€

President Washington also offered this warning: โ€œAgainst the insidious wiles of foreign influence โ€ฆ a free people ought to be constantly awake, since history and experience prove that foreign influence is one of the most baneful foes of republican government.โ€

We are now in peril, if our government becomes a Russian or Chinese puppet. So far, the critical alliances that have kept the world from destruction since World War II are shaken. Our military is in our cities protecting masked thugs and murdering people on boats. If we are to remain a free nation under the rule of law, we must resist this current regime in every legal way.
