The tax rate in Dublin is set this year at $17.62 per $1,000 of valuation, which is a 37 cent drop from the previous year.

The municipal portion of the rate saw the biggest increase this year, going from $4.96 in 2024 to $5.37, or a 41 cent increase.

There was also an increase of 1 cent in the state school rate, going from $1.10 in 2024 to $1.11 this year.

Those increases were offset by drops in the county rate and the local education rate, with the local education rate in particular contributing to the overall drop in the tax rate. The County tax this year is set at $2.10, compared to last year’s rate of $2.18. The local school rate dropped a total of 71 cents, from $9.75 to $9.04.

A resident with a property valued at $400,000 can expect to pay taxes of about $7,048 in the coming year, which would be down from $7,196 the previous year, for a similarly valued home.
