An informal 5K fun run will take place Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, Nov. 27, starting and ending at the ConVal High School parking lot.
Participants can run, jog or walk the 3.1-mile route, which begins at 10 a.m. The course follows Southfield Road, the bike trail and the Hunt Road loop to Route 202 before returning to the school. Families and groups are welcome.
Organizers encourage runners to bring a nonperishable food donation for the local food pantry. Participants should wear appropriate footwear and bright clothing and remain alert for traffic. All runners must sign a waiver upon arrival and take part at their own risk.
After the run, Icespike will raffle several prizes. Free hot drinks and bagels will be available.
