Yankee humorist Fred Marple will read from his new book, โ€œUdder Nonsense: More Tales from Frost Heaves,โ€ on Friday, Nov. 14, at 6 p.m. at the Toadstool Bookshop in Peterborough.

Marple is the unofficial spokesman for Frost Heaves, โ€œthe most under-appreciated town in New Hampshire.โ€ His latest book is a collection of semi-true tales, rumors and outright lies from Frost Heaves, many of which originated at the Frost Heaves variety show at the Peterborough Players theater.

Marple, also known as author Ken Sheldon, will discuss the origins of Frost Heaves and the stories, many with local connections. After the reading, he will sign copies of his books.
