The town of Francestown celebrated achieving 100% fiber internet coverage during a community supper at the Town Hall in October. Selectman Scot Heath and Broadband Committee Chair Alfred Eisenberg marked the milestone with community members and representatives from Fidium Fiber, which has expanded its high-speed network to nearly every address in town.
Heath spoke about the importance of equal access to reliable internet for all residents, while Eisenberg accepted the official “Gig Town” certificate from Fidium, recognizing Francestown’s full fiber connectivity.

“For the last five years, we’ve been dedicated to bringing reliable connectivity to Francestown,” Eisenberg said. “Fidium was the only provider willing to make a significant investment, and with their expansion complete, we’ve reached our milestone. Improved coverage strengthens our community, making it easier to work, learn and stay connected in everyday life.”

The project was made possible through Fidium’s investment and the state’s broadband grant program. Fidium’s all-fiber network offers symmetrical multi-gig internet service to more than 600 homes and businesses in Francestown.
Fidium now serves more than 323,000 homes and businesses across New Hampshire, including over 49,000 in the Monadnock Region. Service is available in Hancock, Peterborough, Jaffrey, Fitzwilliam, Keene and Swanzey.
