Longtime Yankee magazine writer and editor Mel Allen will present his new book, “Here in New England,” on Sunday, Nov. 9, at 1 p.m. at the Showroom, 20 Commercial St., in Keene.
Presented in collaboration with the Toadstool Bookshop, the event will feature photos, stories, and reflections from Allen’s nearly five decades at Yankee. Tickets start at $25.50. Each ticket for $45 or more includes a copy of the book.
“Here in New England: Unforgettable Stories of People, Places, and Memories That Connect Us All” gathers some of Allen’s pieces written over 48 years. The collection highlights everyday New Englanders, their resilience, and their communities.
