Francestown Fire and Rescue hosted a medical helicopter landing zone training Oct. 26 with the Dartmouth Hitchcock Advanced Response Team, commonly known as DHART.

Dartmouth-Hitchcock provides training for fire, EMS and police departments that select and prepare landing zones for medical aircraft evacuations. The course covers principles of safe site selection and communication with the aircraft.

Francestown Fire and Rescue thanked Antrim Fire and Ambulance, Bennington Fire and Rescue, and the Crotched Mountain Ski and Ride Ski Patrol for participating in the training and Bob’s Chocolate Cafe of Francestown for donating coffee to the first responders.
