At its Aug. 4 meeting, 100+ Women Who Care Cheshire County selected Monadnock Habitat for Humanity to receive this quarter’s donations, totaling $20,000.

Monadnock Habitat for Humanity builds safe and affordable housing in the Monadnock region. Families help build their homes and pay an interest-free mortgage. This donation will support the construction of a new home on Old Walpole Road in Keene.

Founded in 2016, the chapter has grown to more than 360 members and has donated more than $625,000 to Cheshire County nonprofits. Each member contributes $50 quarterly, and at each meeting the group selects a nonprofit to receive the collective gift.

The next meeting will be Monday, Nov. 3, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Hellenic Hall, St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 70 West St., Keene, with refreshments beginning at 5:30 p.m. Guests and new members are welcome.
