The Peterborough Town Library will host โGet Outside with Geocachingโ on Wednesday, Oct. 1, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the library at 2 Concord St.
The introductory program, presented in partnership with New Hampshire State Parks, will explain what geocaching is, how to find a cache and how to create one. Participants are encouraged to bring a smartphone to begin geocaching.
The program will be led by Evan Walsh, an interpretive ranger with NH State Parks and the Student Conservation Association. Walsh previously taught Spanish at Kearsarge Regional High School and has worked as a wilderness guide across the United States and South America.
The program is free and open to adults and families. Space is limited and registration is required. To register, visit peterboroughtownlibrary.org or call 603-924-8040.
