Julie Berry, the award-winning and bestselling author of “Lovely War” and “The Passion of Dolssa” visited Conant Middle High School to speak with students.
The stop was part of a three-state, four-school book tour organized by the Toadstool Bookshop. She introduced her new young-adult historical thriller, “If Looks Could Kill,” which released on Sept. 16. The book weaves the stories of Jack the Ripper and Medusa.
About 150 students, mostly juniors and seniors, attended the presentation.
