Music at the Museum returns Saturday, Sept. 27, at 1 p.m. on the lawn of the Rindge Historical Society, 24 School St., with featured performer Rik Ekström. A $5 donation benefits the museum. Desserts, light lunch refreshments, and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.

Ekström, based in Fitzwilliam, blends folk storytelling with rock energy. His songs range from family adventures to bittersweet relationships. He has performed across the Monadnock Region with his band FairOaks since 2023. Previously, with his band Boneshaker, he released The Philosophy of Brown in 2001.

The open mic is coordinated by Ray Siekierski, with Karla MacLeod and Mark Cantrill managing logistics and sound. Musicians, poets, and spoken-word artists are welcome to participate; performers should email Siekierski at nooniekirk52@gmail.com
. Sets are limited to 10 minutes or two selections.

Music at the Museum is typically held the last Saturday of the month, March through October, at the Rindge Meeting House or Historical Society grounds. The final 2025 program is Oct. 25 with Gary Barna.
