Following a lengthy investigation, the Rindge Police Department has arrested a Keene man on multiple felony counts related to sexually assaulting a juvenile.
On Monday, Sept. 8, police arrested Austin Bailey, 22, of Keene, on a total of six charges, five of which are felonies.
Bailey has been charged with four counts of transmitting a lewd image to a child, and one count of felonious sexual assault of a juvenile. All charges are class B felonies. He was additionally charged with a class A misdemeanor count of sexual assault against a juvenile.
Bailey was arraigned on Sept. 8, and has been held in preventive detention at the Cheshire County House of Corrections. He is scheduled for a probable cause hearing on Sept. 17 at the 8th Circuit Court, Jaffrey. Additional charges stemming from a concurrent investigation by the Jaffrey Police Department are anticipated.
