The Rindge Conservation Commission will host a family- and dog-friendly hike for National Hug Your Hound Day on Sunday, Sept. 14, at 1:30 p.m. at Tetreault Park, Rand Rd. The one and a half-hour walk will start at the park kiosk. You don’t need a dog to participate.
Dogs must be leashed, under owner control and up to date on rabies vaccination. Participants must pack out pet waste and should carry water.
From the US-202/NH 119 intersection, take US-202 south about two miles, turn right on Rand Rd.; the parking lot is on the left after about a mile.
The hike is part of the Commission’s Annual Hike and Paddle Series highlighting local trails, forests and wetlands. The final 2025 outing will be Saturday, Oct. 19, at Miriam Hunt Memorial Forest for Bat Appreciation Month. Events are held rain or shine.
