Academic degrees conferred

Jaylin Calistro of Temple was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science – Geography and a Bachelor of Science in Geology cum laude from Kutztown University. To qualify for cum laude honors, students must achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.40 or higher.

Mary Elaine Algeo of Rindge was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree at the completion of the spring 2025 semester from the University of Wyoming. To qualify for a degree, students must successfully complete all required coursework in their program of study and meet the universityโ€™s academic and credit-hour requirements.

Mairead Markey of Wilton graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work.

Avery Opland of Antrim graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science.

Justin Orr of Peterborough graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Biology.

Christopher Yurcak of Wilton graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing.

Deanโ€™s list

Heather Gonyea of Rindge, Kaitlyn McGill of Peterborough, and Solomon Page of Peterborough were named to the deanโ€™s list for the spring 2025 semester at Western New England University in Springfield, Massachusetts. To qualify for the deanโ€™s list, undergraduate students must achieve a semester grade point average of 3.30 or higher while completing at least 12 credit hours.

Athletic achievements

Jaylin Calistro of Temple received the Division 2 Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award for the 2024-25 academic year from Kutztown University. To qualify for the award, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, complete a minimum of two years of college-level work, and be an active member of an intercollegiate team during the last academic year.

Jaylin Calistro of Temple was named a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference scholar-athlete for the 2024-25 academic year at Kutztown University. To qualify for PSAC Scholar-Athlete honors, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25 while participating in a PSAC-sponsored sport.

Morgan Bemont of Peterborough was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team in May 2025 while playing softball for American International College. To qualify for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50, and must have appeared in 90 percent or started at least 66 percent of a teamโ€™s games; pitchers must have pitched 35 or more innings or made at least 17 appearances.
