Home Healthcare, Hospice & Community Services will hold a six-week hospice volunteer training series beginning Friday, Sept. 26, at its office at 312 Marlboro St. in Keene.
Hospice volunteers provide comfort, companionship and support to patients and families facing end-of-life journeys. Volunteers work with nurses, social workers and spiritual counselors to offer caregiver respite and emotional support at home, in nursing facilities and in assisted living communities.
