The 78th Amos Fortune Forum summer speaker series will feature Hancock resident and storyteller Tricia Rose Burt on Friday, Aug. 15, at 8 p.m. in the Jaffrey Center Meetinghouse.

Burt will discuss her journey from amateur to award-winning producer of the podcast โ€œNo Time to be Timid,โ€ focusing on her mission to provide artists with platforms to share their stories and her dedication to encouraging courage and creativity.

After nearly 15 years in American business institutions, Burt shifted careers and enrolled in art school, leading to a decade as a visual artist. In 2008, she created the one-woman show โ€œHow to Draw a Nekkid Man,โ€ chronicling her transition from executive to artist. Her storytelling career gained momentum after performing with The Moth.

The event is free. A recording will be available on YouTube after the talk. For information, go to amosfortune.org.
