Paul Klemperer and Band will perform โWorld of Rhythmโ on Saturday, Aug. 16, at 5:45 p.m. at Debโs House in Harrisville.
Klemperer, a saxophonist who divides his time between Austin, Texas, and Nelson, has toured nationally and internationally for more than 30 years. His music blends jazz with rhythms from the American South, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and beyond. The ensemble for this Peterborough Folk Music show will highlight world music traditions in a danceable, multi-genre performance.
Klemperer is also a composer, teacher and writer. He studied with Archie Shepp, Max Roach and Ray Copeland and has worked with artists including Marcia Ball, Angela Strehli, Doyle Bramhall and members of the Fabulous Thunderbirds.
