The Park Theatre in Jaffrey will present a special 35th anniversary screening of “Goodfellas” on Friday, Aug. 8, at 6:30 p.m. in the 330-seat Eppes Auditorium.

The event features a question-and-answer session with actor Lisa Bostnar, who appeared in the film. Tickets are $10, or $9 for seniors and students, and are available at theparktheatre.org or by calling 603-532-8888.

Directed by Martin Scorsese and based on “Wiseguy” by Nicholas Pileggi, “Goodfellas” (1990) tells the story of Henry Hill (Ray Liotta), who becomes immersed in organized crime alongside Jimmy Conway (Robert De Niro) and Tommy DeVito (Joe Pesci).

Goodfellas” received six Academy Award nominations, with Pesci winning Best Supporting Actor. The film was added to the National Film Registry in 2000 and underwent a full 4K restoration in 2015.

Bostnar, who has appeared in “Law & Order,” “The Blacklist” and productions at the Peterborough Players, will discuss her experience in the film following the screening.

The screening is part of the Park Theatreโ€™s Filmmakers Series. Free popcorn and concessions will be available. The film is rated R for violence, language, and sexual content.
