The public is invited to “Flowers and Gardens as Inspiration” at the Dublin Community Center in Dublin. The exhibit features artwork inspired by flowers and gardens, with works by Jeanne Maguire Thieme, Solveig Tryba, Carol Doleac and James Cusmano.

Thieme is a Swanzey-based watercolorist and former art educator who now paints full-time at her Pipe Dream Farm studio. Tryba began painting after retirement, working in oils mixed with cold wax to capture the light and mood of natural landscapes.

Doleac, a longtime painter who works in pastels, draws inspiration from her own flower gardens and uses bold color to convey the beauty and joy of nature. Cusmano, a Pratt Institute graduate, specializes in silk painting using French dyes. A Peterborough resident, Cusmano has exhibited nationwide and has works in private and corporate collections.

The exhibit will be available for viewing and purchase during open hours and by appointment through Sept. 4. A closing event, “Coffee and Conversation with the Artists,” will be held Thursday, Sept. 4, from 10 a.m. to noon.
