The Monadnock Center for History and Culture will host the “Women of Peterborough” walking tour on Saturday, July 12, at 10:30 a.m., beginning at the center at 19 Grove St.

The 90-minute tour will explore downtown Peterborough, highlighting the contributions of women to the town’s development. The walk begins with the stories of 19th-century mill workers, then focuses on four early 20th-century women who helped shape the community.

Tickets are $12, or $10 for Monadnock Center members. Space is limited to 25 participants and the tour will be held rain or shine. Advance ticket purchase is recommended.

The Monadnock Center offers themed walking tours monthly from June to November. For tickets or information, visit monadnockcenter.org.
