The ConVal Community Dollars for Scholars Board has awarded nine scholarships to 2025 ConVal graduates for the upcoming college year. Recipients were selected based on their goals, financial need and life challenges.

Nadia Solod received the John F. Vance Memorial Scholarship for $16,000. She will attend Suffolk University to study political science with a focus in public policy and law.

Chloe Ward received a PJ Oโ€™Rourke Memorial Scholarship for $15,000 and will study fashion design at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Kalyn Ross was awarded a second PJ Oโ€™Rourke Memorial Scholarship for $15,000 and will attend Southern New Hampshire University to study psychology.

Ryan Whitney received the Ken Christian Memorial Scholarship, funded in part by Bellows-Nichols Insurance, for $10,000. He will study fashion merchandising and management at Lasell University.

CVCDFS Scholarships of $8,000 each were awarded to Luci McLay (communications, Fitchburg State), Destiney Jimenez (fashion design, Thomas Jefferson University) and Merrit Kotula (behavioral neuroscience, Saint Lawrence University). Kristin Powell received a CVCDFS Scholarship for $5,000 to study nursing at Southern New Hampshire University.

Gabriel Dupuy was awarded the $5,000 Mary Lou Oโ€™Neal Memorial Scholarship to study electrical engineering at Nashua Community College.
