Franceston residents await the anual lighting of the town Christmas tree Sunday evening after the performance at the Town Hall.
The Francestown Improvement and Historical Society hosted the town’s annual holiday celebration and Christmas tree-lighting Sunday afternoon at the Francestown Town Hall.
The celebration started with a performance of “The Nutcracker in a Flash” by Francestown Homeschoolers and Friends. The show was written by John Biscello. The cast included Kali Paige, Britta Paige, Tad Haruza, Kasia Haruza, Ula Haruza, Torin Haruza, Lizzie Paige, Jonathan Paige, Hannah Hardwick, Hailer Hardwick, Hazel Hardwick, Ava Henshaw, Isabelle Hardwick, Francesca Fulton, Rylee Hennessy, Ruby Stone and Cora Stone.
After the performance, guests listened to caroling, including a special appearance by “the Grinch,” and a cookie buffet. The town tree-lighting followed, complete with the arrival of Santa on a fire truck.
