The Peterborough Food Pantry, a program of Peterborough Area Community Aid, recently received a $24,275 grant of Shaw’s gift cards.

Rising food costs, in addition to all the other higher costs of living. have spurred a spike in demand at the food pantry.

“Our community is generous. Our associates care, and we are all so proud to work with the Peterborough Food Pantry to help feed our neighbors when they need us the most,” Peterborough Shaw’s store manager Eli Rajaniemi stated.

The donation is a gift from the Shaw’s and Star Market’s Holiday Nourishing Neighbors Community Relief Initiative.

“We are grateful for our customers and associates who continue to help fight hunger in our local communities,” stated Shawn Porter, Shaw’s and Star Market president. “We are also proud to partner with local hunger relief organizations like the Peterborough Food Pantry.”
