Peterborough Unitarian Universalist Congregation is holding a fundraising raffle where the winner will receive up to $5,000 toward two round-trip airline tickets, two nights’ accommodations for two people and dinner for two at any restaurant in the world.
The raffle tickets are $20 each and are available until Monday, Sept 4. The drawing will be on Sunday, Sept 10, around 11:30 a.m. after the worship service. Tickets will be available from PUUC members at any time and on Wednesdays, Aug. 23 and 30, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Peterborough Farmers’ Market at the community center on Elm Street. If unable to obtain tickets from PUUC members or the farmers’ market, contact Jill or Debbie at dinneranywhere@uupeterborough.org.
The winner decides where and when they want to travel. Last year’s winner, from Connecticut, chose a restaurant in Edinburgh, Scotland.
For details and answers to frequently asked questions, visit uupeterborough.org/dinneranywhere. Options are also available for a domestic dinner and hotel, alternate transportation or a staycation. There will be no cash payout. Proceeds benefit the ministries of PUUC, which includes support for local arts, food pantries, transitional shelters, End 68 Hours of Hunger and free Wednesday community dinners held every week all year.
