Dublin Community Center, 1123 Main St., is featuring the contemporary works of artist Barbara Jo Kingsley in July, and will host a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 14.
Kingsley received a BFA from Michigan State University and an MFA from Eastern Michigan University. Having grown up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, she also lived on Long Island before moving to Peterborough in 2017. Her works have received best of show, first place, awards of excellence and many honorable mentions in shows on Long Island and across Michigan and Japan.
Since moving to this area, her art has been shown at the Healing Arts Gallery at Monadnock Community Hospital and MAXTMakerspace in Peterborough, as well as at the Jaffrey Civic Center.
This show is a retrospective of Kingsley’s work over many years, including serigraphs (silkscreen prints) from the 1990s, ink drawings and acrylic paintings. The show will be on display and art will be available for purchase throughout July, during open hours or by appointment. To make an appointment for viewing, send email to info@dublincommunitycenter.org.
