Artist Patrick Cogan of Antrim, creator of Recycled Illuminations and a music teacher at Great Brook School, will speak at James A. Tuttle Library, 45 Main St. in Antrim, Saturday, July 8, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Cogan upcycles items he finds at local transfer stations, various second-hand shops and items from yard sales. His artistic career started in Peterborough, when he was at the transfer station one day and something from the dumpster caught his eye. Within hours, he had turned the item into a light and shared on social media.

Cogan’s work can be found in businesses and residences around the world, including The J House Hotel and Restaurant in Greenwich, Conn., a doctor’s office in New Orleans, hotels in Croatia and bars in New York City. Recycled Illuminations has been featured in New Hampshire Chronicle, local newspapers and Country Living Magazine.

The event is free.
