As part of the Muusic 4UU monthly concert series, Folksoul will perform Saturday, April 22, at 3 p.m. in the PUUC Sanctuary at 25 Main St, Peterborough.

Tickets are $15 at the door, and doors open at 2:45 p.m.

Folksoul is an ensemble based out of Greenfield whose sound includes Cajun, Motown, soul and R&B influences, driven by a combination of guitars, horns and rhythm section. In the words of leader Fred Simmons: “[We’re] dance music, with a natural and organic acoustic balance that does not rely on volume to reach people’s hearts and souls. No other band sounds quite like this one or makes music exactly like it. It is high-spirited music generated by the musicians and the instruments themselves.”

Muusic 4UU is a monthly concert series featuring area musicians performing their music in the PUUC sanctuary. Its mission includes providing cultural opportunities for the community, creating a nurturing performance space for musicians and showing the sanctuary to be an accessible, welcoming venue for community gatherings and events.
