The Mariposa Museum & World Cultural Center in Peterborough hosted a creative workshop April 8, teaching students how to make papier-mâché low-relief sculptures. The session was inspired by the museum’s exhibition displaying the work of Nickolay Manuylov, also known as “Kuk.”

Marci Smoger led participants through the process of sculpting their ideas into reality. One artist made a three-eyed creature, while another made a pizza. During the second session, they brushed on papier-mâché, waited for it to dry and then added acrylic paint.

The Mariposa Museum welcomes workshop suggestions, which people can share by calling 603- 924-4555.
