My wife and I would like to acknowledge that without the intervention last Wednesday of two organizations, I would not be here today. I have a debt of gratitude that is unrepayable to the Hancock Fire Department and Peterborough Ambulance Service.
Due to my condition at the time, I don’t remember everyone involved, but I thank all of you. I do want to specifically thank “Emil,” whose recognition of my condition and the appropriate interventions saved my life. To those unfamiliar with these aforementioned services, know that you should rest easy knowing that they are here for our communities. My only regret is not being able to personally thank all of the individuals who helped that morning. I am grateful to you all for saving my life.
All of us should thank any of our community’s first-responders every time we see them.
