The MacDowell artist’s residency program in Peterborough collected about 150 pounds of non-perishable food items for the Peterborough Food Pantry from friends and members of the public at its annual holiday party Dec. 9.
MacDowell staff wrote checks and donated cash in the amounts of $1,025.00 for Monadnock Area Transitional Shelter and another $1,245.00 for the Peterborough Human Services Fund, beating their previous total by at least $600.
In addition, a clothing drive at MacDowell earlier this season netted about 10 boxes of adult and children’s clothing for the Community Closet at Monadnock Congregational Church.
