Japanese guitarist Hiroya Tsukamoto returns to the Mariposa Museum of World Cultures, 26 Main St. in Peterborough, Sunday, Dec. 4, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. with new compositions inspired by the spirit of the land, forests and many cultures.

Tsukamoto is a guitarist and composer who fuses folk, jazz, and world music. Born and raised in Japan, he received a scholarship to Berklee College of Music, which brought him to the United States. He has recently returned from Japan to tour, and has headlined concerts around the world, including the Blue Note in New York City, the United Nations in New York and Japanese national television. This year, he won second place in the International Fingerstyle Guitar Championship.
