The Temple Band resumes weekly rehearsals for the 2022-2023 season Monday, Oct. 17, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Temple Town Hall, 423 Route 45.
New members are welcome to join on Monday nights through October – Oct. 17, 24, and 31.
The Temple Band is an all-volunteer, nonprofit community band drawing members ranging in age from 9 to 90 from the Monadnock and Souhegan valleys. There are no dues, fees or auditions required, but two years of experience on a concert band instrument is requested, along with a commitment to try to make half of the rehearsals and shows. All concert band instruments are welcome.
For high school musicians, the band offers an annual scholarship for graduating seniors who have made a serious commitment to the band.
The band meets for weekly rehearsals Monday nights from 7 to 9 p.m. from October to May. Performances include about 12 summer events scheduled throughout New England and a holiday benefit performance set to return to the Temple Elementary School Dec. 11 at 2 p.m.
