On Saturday, Aug. 27, Greenville will be celebrating its 150th anniversary, with special celebrations throughout the day.

Learn more about Greenville’s history and see some of the town’s artifacts by browsing history displays at the Chamberlin Free Public Library from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

At 1 p.m., the town will hold a parade with floats on the theme of “Greenville – Through the Years.” The parade will travel along Pleasant Street, Main Street and Mill Street. To enter a float, vehicle or marching group in the parade, contact Kathy Valliere at 603-878-4155 during town clerk’s hours.

Starting at 2 p.m., there will be family games and events at the Town Field on Adams Street. There will be a barbecue, music and old-fashioned games, including a dunk tank. There will be food for sale, along with vendors and booths from local organizations and businesses for shopping.

The town is offering free vendor spaces for any local nonprofit, artisan or farmers’ market vendors who would like to run a booth. To reserve a vendor space, contact Town Administrator Tara Sousa at 603-878-2084, or via email at administrator@greenvillenh.org.

At 6 p.m., the Temple Town Band will be at the Town Field to play live music until 7:30 p.m.

At about 8:30 p.m., at dusk, there will be a fireworks display to cap off the day.
