Greater Peterborough is a good community to live in. If we fall short of the mark, we address it. A pertinent example nearby is the recently published report by a Keene ad hoc committee that recommends a plan for the elimination of institutional racism there.
As Americans believing in liberty and justice for all, this is apt. As a Christian, I believe this to be an accompaniment to Jesus’ desire for our personal sanctification.
Our area would also benefit from nonjudgmental attitudes that afford equal civil liberties for other minorities. I recall that Jesus said, “I have come into the world not to condemn the world.”
Whatever a person’s religious creed, with more love and goodwill, we can certainly make this area an even better place for all of us.
