On Monday afternoon, two vehicles became locked together when a car struck the rear of a truck on Route 202 in Peterborough, jamming the front of the hood beneath the truck.

According to a post by Peterborough Fire and Rescue on the department’s Facebook page, the crash occurred on Route 202 in the area of Hancock Road, in front of South Meadow School. A car traveling south rear-ended a truck traveling in front of it, running underneath the truck and getting stuck there. The driver of the car was assisted from her vehicle by members of the Peterborough Fire and Rescue Department and taken to Monadnock Community Hospital with minor injuries, according to the post.

The driver of the truck was evaluated on the scene by medical personnel but was not taken to the hospital. The fire department stood by the scene to contain a fuel spill until the car was removed.
