I am writing in support of Article 11 on the ballot, to adopt the Peterborough Community Power Plan, for the May 10 Peterborough town election.
Last year, voters overwhelmingly approved, with 74% in favor, an article setting 100% renewable goals for both 2030 and 2050. Article 11 will be a major step toward our ability of achieving the goal to have all electricity in our town be using 100% renewable energy.
Being a member of the Peterborough Community Power Task Force, I have learned so many exciting things that the law now allows that will give the town control and how much more potential we will have to provide even more benefits in the future.
I urge you to go to the Community Center on May 10 and to cast your yes vote for Article 11.
