Peterborough will have three contested races in the May 10 town election.
Four candidates are running for three seats on the Budget Committee, each of which is three years: Leslie Lewis, River Marmorstein, Andrew Osterman and Mandy Silver. Of these, only Silver is an incumbent. Current members James Long and Rich Clark are not seeking re-election.
Also contested is the race for the Planning Board’s open three-year seats. Three candidates are vying for two seats: Joshua Blair, a current alternate on the board; Blair Weiss, who is an incumbent; and Carl Staley. Current chair Rich Clark is not seeking re-election. Laura Norton and Katherine Sullivan seeking the two-year position as supervisor of the checklist.
All other town races are uncontested. Bill Taylor is running unopposed for his seat on the Select Board, and current Zoning Board of Adjustment Chair Sharon Monahan is also running unopposed for her seat.
Mary Clark is running for the one-year Budget Committee seat. Andrew Manns is seeking the three-year trustee of the trust funds position, and Linda Guyette is vying for the three-year cemetery trustee position.
Three library trustee positions are open, with John Lawlor and Peggy Van Valkenburgh seeking the two one-year spots and Tina Kriebel running for the three-year seat.
Three Recreation Committee positions are also open, with Roxanne Loudin and Andrew Osterman seeking the two three-year seats and Zoe Wroten-Heinzmann vying for the two-year spot.
Denise Sweet is unopposed for the six-year spot supervisor of the checklist position.
Voting will be held May 10 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Peterborough Community Center.
This story has been changed since it was originally posted. The original list of candidates provided by the town did not include Katherine Sullivan as a candidate for supervisor of the checklist.
